Sighing softly to herself the young Sunagakure chunnin paced the corridors of the academy. Her old sanctuary. She smlied to herself as she walked past the familiar and empty corridors. Today was an off day for the academy giving time for some of the already graduated students to take a look around. Sighing softly against she stopped on a long corridor and leant out the hole-in-the-wall window breathing in the fresh desert air. She smiled. This was her home. Sunagakure No Sato always had been and always would be her home.
And so, with nothing better to do, Chouko had found herself inside the old academy. She miled to herself as she moved away from the window and slowly headed towards her old classroom a soft hum escaping through her barely parted lips as she walked alone through the seemingly empty building.

Back again, right? It seemed like this was a place for the young Chuunin's memories. She used to come here when she was young. Ayako wasn't the best, of course, about average-best, but something made her want to visit it again. The blonde's footsteps echoed on the pavement, eyes glancing left and right at the somewhat deserted building. Artworks had been hung up as the old ones came down. New lights, seats and desks had been installed. Almost everything had been upgraded, but she could still recognise the place she once used to call 'school.' Now, of course, it is nothing but a container for her memories.
Ayako passed through the endless windowless corridoors, going everywhere yet nowhere at the same time. Truth be told, she didn't know where she was going. Maybe to familiarize herself with the place once more. Yep. That must be it. What else could she be doing wondering up and down the academy? She somehow managed to find herself at her old classroom, smiling slightly at memories. This was where she had made her first best friend. This was where so many good, and bad, things happened. This was the place she was first told she had passed, and was officially a Genin. And in a few days time, everything would change, for the better or the worse.
The Jounin exams were taking place soon, and Ayako had her mind set to pass. If she passed, she would go up another level of the Shinobi...and these memories would begin to fade or become unimportant. And the blonde didn't want that to happen. She never would want that to happen.

(*is lazy*) Slowly pushing the classroom door open Chouko peered around the room and smiled. It hadn't changed at all in the years she'd been gone. Everything was the same. And taking a second look around she spotted Ayako. She chuckled lightly spotting Ayako's almost daydream state and walked towards her slowly.
Her crimson red eyes fixed upon the blond girl as she came to a stop behind her. Grinning Chouko tugged her long hair out of the ribbon it was in to hold it up and spoke. "Hello there." She smiled.
(Short I know but I'm museless for Chou XD)

((OOC: Not a problem ^^ I'm museless too now)) The door opened with a creak, snapping Ayako out of her thoughts. "Oh...sorry," she said respectfully. "Was I...um...in the way of anything?" she asked, retreating towards the door. She didn't want to get in the way of anything. But then again, she had the right to be here as well. "I'm Ayako," she smiled, inclining her hand. She smiled, trying her best to be friendly.

Smiling Chouko took hold of Ayako's hand and shook it lightly. "I'm Chouko Cero. And it's fine you have a right to be here to after all." She smiled before bringing her hand back to her side and glancing around the classroom. She sighed softly. "I guess this was your classroom once to? Brings back memories doesn't it." She smiled. Ayako smiled slightly, wrapping her thoughts up and storing them. Now wasn't the time to review memories. "It's nice to meet you, Chouko," she smiled brightly. "Yeah...it's just weird to be here after so many years..." She knew Chouko understood. "The place has changed a lot," she admitted, looking around. New nametags were stuck onto the desks and different paintings and pictures around the walls.

Chouko smiled and nodded in agreement. It did feel weird to be here after so long. She chuckled lightly at the next sentence and shook her head. "Not really no. Because when you think about it it's still the same Sunagakure Ninja Academy. It's just got new things in brought by new students." She smiled before sitting down on one of the desks and facing Ayako.

Ayako took a seat too, admiring the various artworks hung around on the wall. "I guess you've got a point," she smiled. She remembered coming here first when she was six, sometimes even getting lost in here. Those were the times...Now that she was a Chuunin...almost a Jounin...it felt weird being back in her childhood academy, as if she was reminiscing on the past and had somehow got lost in it.

Smiling Chouko's crimson eyes flickered around taking in every detail of the room. It seemed so much smaller now that she'd grown though it still held the same air of respect from her. Because though she'd technically out ranked the academy by becoming a chuunin she still felt like she belonged here and wouldn't be annywhere without this building.

Ayako closed her eyes, reviewing her memories. They were so long ago, yet she could remember them like it was yesterday.
A six year old girl sitting at the back of the classroom, arms crossed, eyes idly looking out the window. A teacher was at the front, explaining about various herbs and flowers. The young redhead didn't pay attention in the least, merely huffed and began drawing on a piece of paper.
"Ayako! Pay attention!" The teacher had snapped.
"Sorry Miss," she replied sweetly, putting down her pencil and seemed to be paying full attention.
"Good. Now I will continue where I had stopped. Daffodills are..." Within a few seconds, Ayako had started her daydream once more.
