Once stepping out of the Hot Springs, Deidara was at a loss to which way to turn. His head looked left and right, and he almost wished he could use his scope here to find Ichiraku's. Unfortunately, that would probably scare the living daylights out of people 50 or so metres from him. And Hinata too.
"Hinata huh?" He remembered what the name meant, and it also sounded somewhat familiar. He had a distinctive impression that the rest of Akatsuki wouldn't be pleased with this friendship. He was supposed to come here to relax, or at least by his own standards he was. Deidara did a lot of things on his own these days. "That's a nice name," he reflected, still wondering which way to go. Idiot.

Hinata blushed slightly as Deidara told her she had a nice name. “Thanks…” she said while poking her indexes nervously again. It seemed she did that a lot recently. She gazed at Deidara curiously, since he seemed to be somewhat lost. Perhaps, he didn’t come to town often. It was true that she had never seen him around before. Maybe she could help him out and lead the way.
She giggled lightly at it and smiled once again. “ L-let m-me lead the way…” she said shyly before looking down at her feet for a few seconds; she found them suddenly interesting to gaze at.

Deidara found himself admiring Hinata. She was pretty, obviously, and at first glance everyone knew she was a girl. Her hair was slick and shiny, but not as good as mine, he thought proudly. "What shampoo do you use, un?" he asked, struck by a sudden idea even though it was irrevelant to lunch.
He followed her towards Ichiraku's, scolding himself for not studying the Village's geography before comming in. But then again, who would have expected that he would have went to Ichiraku's for lunch. Usually, he would find the closest shop, then just eat there.

Hinata glanced at Deidara as he questioned her. What a strange question it was. She arched an eyebrow but soon laughed softly at it. After all… it was a question like an other… “ Uh… I-I think it’s loreal…” (lol) she said still finding it was a funny question to ask to someone when you first met.
She continued to walk over to the restaurant, her cheeks still warm. There were a few people in the streets and a few kids who were playing tag too. She smiled seeing them remembering her old time… even if she didn’t have much friends back there. A small and refreshing breeze blew into the girl’s hair. The day was warm and she thought it might be a good idea later to go have a swim.

Konoha was nothing like Iwa or Suna. The first thought that came to Deidara's mind after examining the buildings and the general structure of the village. It seemed that every Hidden Village was different in its own aspect. Loreal? Is that what she uses? I should try it... ((OOC: Who in the right mind would be thinking about hair products on a date? XD))
Everything was so calm and peaceful here. It reminded Deidara of his childhood as well. Neglected. Alone. Friendless. Rejected by the society. All because of his hands. He glanced down at them now. Sure enough, he hadn't forgotten to put on gloves after had changed. His hands were more often gloved than not, mouths only comming out when he attacked or fought.

As they arrived to the restaurant, Hinata smiled and walked over to the counter trying to figure out what would be her ramen’s flavour. There were just too many choices. The manager spotted her and Deidara and smiled at them. “Why hello miss Hyuuga, what treat do you and… your friend want?” he asked figuring out that dei was a girl ( XD poor dei lolll). “Hum, I’ll have chiken flavoured ramen please.” She asked glad that she hadn’t stutter for once.
She glanced over to Deidara and smiled at him waiting for him to chose what he wanted. After all… he was the one who had offered her ramens and also was the one who would pay for them.

Finally! They had been walking around forever, or so it seemed to the blonde. “Why hello miss Hyuuga, what treat do you and… your friend want?” Deidara's eyes glanced at the menu, looking for one thing. "I'll take the special, un," he said with a grin, turning back to the managers.
Now he knew what everyone else in Akatsuki would say. Kakuzu would kill him for spending too much money. Itachi, Kisame and Sasori would kill him for making friends with a Konoha kunoichi. Well...more or less, Deidara would end up dead. But then he saw her smile. Hinata's smile was so pretty it made him forget about everything and focus on her. Then he realized he was still standing. Oops...Blushing very slightly, he took a seat next to her.

Hinata was sitting on the chair wondering about where Naruto was at the moment. Probably doing his usual hokage business. She let out an inaudible sigh at the though and decided she wouldn’t think about him for today since she was with a new friend. Lavender eyes looked down at the counter while she was playing with her hands, waiting to have her ramen.
The manager handed her her bowl and chopsticks. It smelt good she had to admit it and this made her smile a little. She didn’t notice Deidara’s blush in the first place, as her mind was only with Naruto. She grabbed her chopsticks, separated them and waited for her ramen to be ready as she decided to focus on her bowl for the moment, not really knowing what to say to the new boy.

Deidara wasn't a patient person. Actually, he could be, when compared to Sasori, but the fact still remains that he was at least a little more impatient that the usual person. That would explain why he constantly edged in his seat, or fiddled with with something while waiting for the ramen to cook. It smelled so nice the he just wanted to crawl over and eat it. But of course, that was unacceptable.
Finally, the manager had given him some chopsticks. Something to do at last! But the 'something' didn't last long. Upon breaking his chopsticks with a crack, Deidara was at a loss of what to do, again. Maybe making conversation was for the best. "Hey, Hinata?" he asked quietly, wondering if he was disturbing the girl. "What rank are you?" What he meant was, whether she was a Genin, Chuunin, or Jounin. Any of them could be possible.

Hinata was still lost into her thoughts; she happened to do that a lot these days. Though, it didn’t least long since Deidara had interrupted her thoughts with a question. She looked up at him as he called her name. “Mh? I’m a Chuunin.” She said softly, with her usual small voice. But there was something different this time and it was that she didn’t even stutter a bit at this sentence. This made her be rather proud of herself.
After all, this Deidara was nothing like Naruto; she had to admit he was much calmer than the other blond. He also seemed much older than him. She started to wonder about how old he was… but she thought it was too indiscrete to ask such things to someone you just met. She gazed at him for a few moments trying to guess his age. Maybe he was around 18’s she thought before blushing some more and returning her attention to her bowl as she felt like an idiot of staring at him like that.

Deidara waited a bit more patiently for her answer than he did for the ramen. It smelt so good...Back on topic. I'm a Chuunin. "Chuunin?" he queried, but accepted it. She seemed to have less confidence than the average Chuunin. It would be a mistake for him if she threw the question back in return. He would have to lie or something, unless he wanted to reveal he was a S-classed criminal, which no S-classed criminal would ever do.
She was rather unfit for a Chuunin, now that Deidara thought about it. Age didn't matter when it came to rank, as he knew well from Itachi's presence in the Akatsuki. But Hinata seemed to lack a lot of confidence, even for a normal person, and she seemed too caring. And probably too trusting. All in all, the girl shouldn't have became a Ninja in the first place.

Hinata nodded her head slightly at what he said. Some people were surprised that she managed to become a Chuunin, even her father. Neiji too if she thought about it though, there’s one thing for sure and it was that she wanted to change and not still stay the shy girl she’s always been. She needed more self-confidence if she wanted Naruto-kun to notice her more than simply as a friend. Then again, there was the whole heir of the clan thing…
Who would want someone as weak as her as an heir of a clan? She always thought her sister would be way better than her and so does Neiji. She sighed at the thought wondering about how things will end up. Her father only began to care more about her; which she was glad of and she knew she’d become stronger if she trained a lot. She was temped to ask to Deidara what was his rank but then noticed that her ramen were ready. She smiled at it and grabbed her chopsticks. “They’ll all see that I can be strong too and that I’m not the little girl who always needs help anymore…” she murmured mostly to herself as her petite free hand turned into a fist at the though.

Deidara didn't expect much of a reply. After all, his pervious words were more of a statement than a question. He still thought she shouldn't have became a Ninja in the first place, but he doubted she would back down now. He would have been lost in his thoughts, if the smoke and hadn't interrupted him. The ramen looked so good and tempting.
It was only now that he realized she was a Hyuuga. Deidara mentally smacked himself, sending a sideways glance at the lavender eyes of the girl. They were pretty, that was for sure. He returned his gaze to his ramen, about to eat when, “They’ll all see that I can be strong too and that I’m not the little girl who always needs help anymore…” Deidara looked up in surprise. "That's the spirit, Hinata, un," he smirked.

Hinata blushed slightly as Deidara spoke and smiled at him before returning her gaze to her ramen. [colo=purple] “H-hai!” She took a first bite of her ramens finding them rather yummy. She then started to wonder about where the blonde came from; she found him rather interesting and nice to be with, she wanted to know more about him. She then started to wonder about why people thought that he was a girl… she saw it in the first place that he was a boy… in the hot springs… his built chest… her cheeks grew redder at the thought. How come can I think about such things ?! she thought taking an other bite of her ramen. “Hum, Deidara? W-what village are you f-from?” she dared to ask him. [/blockquote]

Deidara assumed that he had at least helped her a bit. It was weird really. Why had he invited Hinata out to lunch? Unless he liked h- No, that couldn't be it. Stop thinking dirty thoughts un, he scolded himself. He watched her eat, before deciding that he had at least earned a meal. He was paying after all. Urgh...payment. Kakuzu would not be happy.
But for once he didn't care about what the rest of Akatsuki thought. He was eating ramen with a pretty girl, how much better could it get? Wait...scratch that. No dirty thoughts, remember? he reminded himself. "Huh?" Deidara had been so lost in his thoughts that he didn't notice Hinata's question. "Oh..." Great. What now? "I'm from Iwa un," he said quickly. What better village than his old one which he knew the most about?
